I am a Vietnam-era Veteran who was recently diagnosed with Oral-Pharangeal Cancer; On July 17th I had surgery to remove "both" tonsils, part of my pharynx, right side of my neck, and my right lynph node; I will be receiving Radiation & Chemo Therapy soon at the Univ; of Colorado Cancer Center (Aurora, CO) on Ursula Street;
I am praying & remain hopeful that I will be able to stay at the Denver Fisher House; In addition to the referral that was made by a Social Worker from the Cancer Center on Fri; Sept; 5th, "please" let me if there is "anything" else I need to do, in order to prepare for my stay at the Denver Fisher House; "Thank-you for this wonderful service, and for your empathy & understanding;"

My sister-n-law is now staying at the Denver Fisher House while my brother is at the Presbyterian Oncology clinic with AML; I am from Fort Worth TX area and visited a few weeks back; What a beautiful place to offer comfort and peace for family members going through tough times;
They are faced with many medical and financial decisions; Should anyone in the Air Force be willing to donate some leave time, Major (Ret) C;E; Swan and the family will greatly welcome the gift;

We were brought here by The VA as my husband is a Vietnam Vet that served on the USS Hunley;
My husband was diagnosed with a pancreatic mass and underwent an extensive surgery and a stay in SICU; We were invited to the Fisher House and were treated like Royality in a homelike atmosphere; our stay was enjoyable, I only wish my husband could have enjoyed it with us;

Christmas 2005 will be happy for our family because our son Jason C; Smith has recovered from his illness that put him in intensive care for 6 months; Last Christmas will be remembered because of the wonderful support we received from the Fisher house; Not only Jann Griffiths and her staff were wonderful, but all of the people we met that were staying at the Fisher House the same time we were, especially John and Gloria Morales; We were truly blessed by meeting them;

I can not begin to tell you what a gift and comfort Fisher House was to me and my family when my husband was in the Denver VA hospital last summer! We felt 'at home' in a very hard time in our lives and 'thank you' is not big enough; We were cared for and welcome, and still had our own space, you relieved a huge stress in our lives; God Bless you! hugs and prayers,

I would like to thank the staff and all of the guests of the Fisher House for making my father's stay, Larry Suits, a pleasurable one; Dad stayed there with my Uncle Bob Suits for the six weeks that he underwent the chemo and radiation treatments for his brain cancer; My dad fought valiantly to beat his cancer, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his illness on June 21st; I know that dad made an impression on several people while he was there; I would especially like to thank Jann Griffiths for making it possible for my dad to stay; Thank you very much and God Bless;

Thank you, Benefactors, Partners and other Friends, for making it possible for us to stay at FH when Bill has needed medical attention at the VAMC; Also, for me to visit with him, now that he is in the Colorado State VA Nursing Home across the way; Thanks to the FH Office Staff, to Chieko, FH Housekeeper, for providing an orderly, clean, yet family-friendly atmosphere home away from home; Thanks to the other Guests who share their hearts and sometimes their food with each other;
